Welcome to Colburn Creative Studio!

I’m a visual artist from western New York. I’ve worked for several years as a graphic designer; developing travel souvenirs and branding for small businesses. Although I feel very blessed to be able to work in the creative field; in recent years I’ve really felt the need to have creative pursuits that I do for myself outside of client work. I started developing a stationery line because I felt a need to create something that was completely my own. I felt that this would give me space to get back to drawing which is my first love and what made me choose to explore a creative career in the first place. It is so easy to feel drained when balancing work and family if you don’t take at least a little time to do something that you enjoy and that helps you to feel a sense of personal growth. This website is a place where I will showcase my more artistic work while providing a place to share my process with you.

I am passionate about creating everyday designs that celebrate life and inspire faith. I love the idea of creating art that is accessible; art that you live with. I think stationery and home décor does that.

Colburn Creative Studio is my new online shop and blog where I will post articles exploring my latest projects and my creative process. I will explore subjects such as drawing, painting & paper crafts. I think we all want to feel more engaged and inspired in our daily lives.
